Johnson Electric Launches Disconnect Relay for American Smart Meter Market


Reliable and Long Life 200 Amp Relay for Residential Electric Meters

HONG KONG -- Johnson Electric today announced a new disconnect relay product, designed for the American smart meter market.  Launched under the Ledex brand, this relay provides very low contact resistance with accurate and reliable switching. The Ledex-BLP 200 relay is designed specifically to deliver the highest reliability and robustness for American 200 amp load specifications. The performance of the Ledex-BLP 200 disconnect relay exceeds UL, ANSI, NEMA, CSA and IEC standards and is manufactured with UL-94-VO rated materials.

The patented technology of the Ledex-BLP disconnect relay is designed to operate in a unique failsafe mode when high current short circuit conditions occur.  This relay exceeds industry performance requirements at high peak current and guarantees positive contact latching for over 15,000 operating cycles. The Ledex-BLP 200 remote disconnect relay is designed for the long service life required for residential electric meters.
