Bronze-alloy ERITECH® EK16 and EK17 have bronze screws and consolidate rebar, ground rod, water pipe, and direct-burial water pipe clamps in one tool. Along with mechanical splicing ability, product can be pre-set on rebar or water pipe and has lay-in feature that secures wire by tightened setscrew. Models EK16 and EK17 install wire in parallel and perpendicular positions, respectively. Able to works with wire from No. 10-2, clamp can also mechanically connect two No. 8 solid wires.

ERITECH® EK16 / EK 17 Combines Four Clamps into One
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - SOLON, Ohio, June 2005 - The new ERITECH® EK16 & EK17 Direct Burial Ground Clamp from ERICO® is a time-saving, cost-effective product that combines four clamps into one. This versatile bronze-alloy grounding clamp with bronze screws consolidates a rebar, ground rod, water pipe and direct-burial water pipe clamp into one product. It is ideal for swimming-pool grounding, light poles and direct-burial applications in both earth and concrete. The UL®-listed product works on rebar and water pipe.
The clamp cuts installation time and eliminates time-consuming threading by allowing the contractor to pre-set the clamp on a piece of rebar or water pipe. After all of the clamps have been set, the ground wire can then be installed using the clamp's "lay-in" feature. Rather than threading the ground wire through a hole to make a continuous loop, just lay the wire in the channel and tighten the setscrew. It's as easy as that!
The clamp also has the versatility to mechanically connect two #8 solid wires. There is no wasted wire thanks to the clamp's mechanical splicing ability. The EK16 allows wire to be installed parallel to the rebar or water pipe. The EK17 allows the wire to be installed perpendicularly.

· Covers pipe range from ½-in. to 1-in.
· Works on rebar ranging from 3/8-in. to 1-in.
