OGP SmartScope Flash 302 Sets the Bar Higher with Multisensor Capability and Unique Features
Optical Gaging Products (OGP®) announces a new innovative member of its popular SmartScope® family of multisensor dimensional measurement systems, SmartScope Flash(TM) 302. A leading edge multisensor metrology system offering 300x300x250 mm (12x12x10") of XYZ travel on a benchtop machine, SmartScope Flash 302 also features a unique mechanical design, with machined-in axial straightness and perpendicularity and a patented twin-Z elevating bridge for structural integrity and metrological stability. Applications include dimensional measurement of manufactured parts with critical dimensions, including parts of virtually any material, softness, opacity, or color. An automatic measurement routine for one part is easily repeated for a batch of fixtured parts, providing throughput to support production requirements.
With its patented 12:1 AccuCentric® auto-calibrating motorized zoom lens, patented LED SmartRing(TM) light, coaxial TTL surface illumination, patented tracking LED bar backlight, and industry-leading image processing, SmartScope Flash 302 excels at video metrology. And like other OGP SmartScope Flash systems, the 302 offers a variety of sensor technologies to accommodate the most demanding measurement requirements. An available laser pointer speeds video measurements through rapid feature location. A through-the-lens (TTL) laser provides accurate, non-contact surface focus points and surface contouring. Touch probes are available for hard-to-image parts. And Feather Probe(TM) allows micro-probing with its micro-miniature stylus and minimal trigger force.
Integrated OGP metrology software is known for its ease of use as well as its power. Popular and user-friendly Measure-X® metrology software offers a choice of screen layouts, including layouts for displaying information on dual monitors, and now offers CAD import. Optional MeasureMind® 3D MultiSensor accepts data points from all sensors and places them within a common 3D reference frame, allowing the user to take full advantage of a multisensing environment. Other optional software includes SmartFit® 3D, a fast and accurate 2D/3D best-fitting and analysis software that optimizes the value of measurement data; as well as software for form fitting, SPC, 3D CAD import, and custom report writing.
