Thales Angenieux Extends Industry Leading 'Rouge' Lens Lineup with New 16-42mm Optimo DP Lens.
Two Lenses In Acclaimed Optimo DP Series Now Cover 16-80mm Range.
Las Vegas, NV (April 20, 2009) - Thales Angenieux is showcasing its new Optimo Rouge 16-42mm large format digital zoom lens here at NAB 2009. This new addition to the highly acclaimed Optimo Rouge Series joins the company's Optimo Rouge 30-80mm lens to comprise a versatile lens package that covers a focal range of 16-80mm.

The new Optimo Rouge 16-42mm large format digital zoom lens was developed by Thales Angenieux's Academy Award® winning Optimo design team. It features a wide angle position of 16mm (75.4 degrees), a fast aperture of T2.8, calibrated focus marks and no ramping or breathing. In addition, the lightweight (4.2 pounds) PL mount lens features a unique mechanical design for precise zoom and focus.
