Tips of the Month: GeoVision Makes Surveillance Easy for the Plants

Taipei, Taiwan, Apr. 13, 2007 - Many plants today face the task of securing large buildings areas, and cameras are placed in the assembly line, warehouse, and shipping area for monitoring. Security staff members face the issues of long hours tedious monitoring when trying to see all areas of building grounds at all times. Operators can miss a critical alarm or fail to respond to an incident due to alarm flooding during emergency.

GeoVision is introducing an effective surveillance solution to help security operators focus on important and immediate tasks when trying to deal with excessive numbers of alerts and alarms. Our DVR with Multi-Quad TV out solution allows plant operators to be notified of selected video channels in the surveillance process. Our Multi-Quad TV out solution provides these operators with visual alerts by highlighting motion-triggered and alarm-triggered events to separate TV monitors. Multi-Quad can also notify operators of situations using full channel scan or bringing video pop-ups.

The Multi-Quad TV out solution uses a Multi-Quad card to connect to our DVR. Multi-Quad can forward 16 channels of video to 5 TV monitors, including a main monitor with 1 to 16 divisions and 4 call monitors with 1 to 4 divisions. The Multi-Quad TV out solution can enhance factory and plant security with real-time video monitoring and response. It also allows multi-site organizations to decentralize the video management tasks to several different responsible departments.
