Thales Angenieux Displays New Digital ENG/EFP Lens Line

Unique Anti Breathing Feature Maintains Field Of View When Focusing.

Las Vegas, NV (April 19, 2004) - Thales Angenieux is displaying its new line of digital ENG/EFP lenses here at NAB 2004. The new lens line includes High Definition (HD) and High Resolution (HR) lenses in the 10X, 12X, 15X, new 26X and 40X focal ranges. The new digital line of telephoto lenses can be controlled via RS232 protocol and features selectable zoom/focus sensitivity adjustments along with a unique anti breathing feature that maintains the field of view when focusing.

"In addition to their exceptional optical qualities, Thales Angenieux's new digital ENG and EFP lenses can interface with virtually any controller for remote operation. As a result, they are ideally suited for use with camera robotics systems, jibs, weatherproof systems and in fixed camera locations. As camera robotics systems and the trend towards remote broadcasting continues to gain popularity, we believe this further increases the added value of Thales Angenieux ENG and EFP lenses," said Chris Beauparlant, U.S. Sales Manager at Thales Angenieux.

The new digital ENG/EFP lens line includes HR and HD models in focal ranges of 10X, 12X, 15X, 26X (see related release) and 40X.
