Convenient I/O Interfacing with New Digital Servo Drives

Camarillo, California...Advanced Motion Controls announces the availability of its DR101EE Series digital drive family with isolated inputs and outputs. In industrial applications, the use of isolated I/O is preferred and provides better noise immunity and improved reliability. The inputs and outputs can be used as sinking or sourcing, and operate up to 30VDC. This makes it very convenient for use with industrial switches and PLC's. The drive can be used in torque or velocity mode, and uses encoder feedback for commutation and servo loop closure. The RS232/485 interface is also fully isolated, hence providing reliable serial communication in harsh industrial environments. These fully digital drives are designed for use with brushed or brushless, rotary or linear servomotors. Drive configuration and tuning can be accomplished through a graphical and intuitive Windows based utility using the serial RS232/485 communication port. Extensive drive protection and error handling are also fully configurable. Various models are available with supply range of 80VDC to 460VAC, and maximum current output capability in the range of 15A to 100A. Units with AC supply also incorporate a shunt regulator circuit with configurable turn on voltage.
