Conducting continuity measurements using either 200 mA or 7 mA test current, Model A0310005 portable tester performs insulation resistance, continuity, ac/dc voltage, and frequency measurements. To meet various requirements, output voltage of insulation resistance testing can be set to 50, 100, 250, 500, or 1,000 V. Results display automatically on HD backlit LCD and RS-232 interface enables test data downloading. Portable unit stores up to 1,000 test results, running on 4 x 1.5 AA batteries.

Digital Insulation Tester Provides Highly Reliable Measurements
Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com) has announced the release of its portable digital insulation tester. This portable battery-powered tester is designed to identify insulation failures and predict possible failures so that preventative maintenance can be conducted in order to reduce damage and costs. The tester can be used to test the safety of electric equipment, such as transformers, electro-motors, cables, switches and home appliances, and insulation materials.
This digital insulation tester, model A0310005, performs insulation resistance measurements, continuity measurements, AC/DC voltage measurements and frequency measurements. This reliable tester conducts continuity measurements using either 200mA test current or 7mA test current. The output voltage of insulation resistance testing can be set to 50V, 100V, 250V, 500V, or 1000V to meet various requirements. Test results are automatically displayed on a high-definition backlit LCD screen after completing a measurement; an RS-232 interface is offered for test data downloading. The tester can store up to 1000 test results and boasts an automatic turn-off function. Additionally, four 1.5V AA batteries are shipped with the digital insulation tester.
