Next Generation RIM Tach 6200 and RIM Tach 1250 Encoder

Gurnee, IL - -Dynapar announces the next generation RIM Tach 6200 and RIM Tach 1250, our newest upgrades to the industry leading NorthStar product portfolio. These digital tachometers join our recently released NexGen RIM Tach 8500 series as part of our mill duty RIM family and provide precise and reliable position and velocity feedback from electric motors in heavy duty environments. The NexGen products deliver superior ease-of-installation and robust, rugged designs demanded by customers for tough vector-motor applications.

The new designs continue the RIM Tach tradition with stainless steel sensor modules
and ductile cast iron housings. The sensor modules use a new rugged magnetic
technology that delivers a 70 thousandths air gap, the largest sensing gap in the
industry. For ease-of-installation, the new RIM Tachs are designed with a generous
axial play of up to 0.50 inches and does not require any precision tools or
measurements. The encoders also come with a convenient diagnostic LED to provide
visual status of encoder functionality.

Dynapar's Next Gen Rim Tach 1250 Features:

  • A new wheel design which includes a metal edge guard to protect the magnetic wheel material from accidental strikes and allows the wheel to lock to the shaft without shaft damage.

  • New sensor and wheel combinations that are backwards compatible with old housings for convenient and economical upgrade ability to the new technology.

  • Available Shaft Sizes From 0.625 to 2.875 to fit a variety of applications.
