Operating up to 4 MHz with input voltage range of 4.5-30 V, quad-channel Models LS7272 and LS7273 provide 120 mA sink output current drive and 1.5 A dynamic peak output current drive. Model LS7272 has input to select either push-pull or open drain outputs with loads on open drain outputs returnable to power supply voltage or lower, while Model LS7273 has only open drain outputs with loads returnable to voltage independent of power supply voltage up to maximum of 30 V.

High Speed, High Voltage, Quad-Channel Differential Line Drivers with High Output Drive Current
Melville, NY, - LSI/CSI announces the availability of new and improved High Speed & High Voltage Quad-Channel Differential Line Drivers with High Output Drive Current. Designated LS7272 and LS7273, these new Quad Channel Differential Line drivers are technically superior and lower cost than the popular and similar OL7272, ET7272 and the ET7273 Quad Line Drivers. The LS7272 and LS7273 drivers operate over an input voltage range of 4.5 to 30 volts and can operate up to 4MHz. The line drivers also have a built-in output drive thermal shutdown protection in case of overload. These fully Tri-Stateable outputs can be configured to be push-pull or open drain. According to Pete Visconti, LSI Computer Systems' VP Sales and Marketing, the LS7272 has an input to select either push-pull or open drain outputs with the loads on the open drain outputs returnable to the power supply voltage or lower and the LS7273 has only open drain outputs with the loads returnable to voltage independent of the power supply voltage up to maxi-mum of 30 volts. There are four independent CMOS/TTL compatible inputs with hysteresis and eight short circuit proof true and complementary outputs.
