Die Lifters Incorporating Tee Blocks and Ball Transfers Enable Safe and Easy Tool Positioning

New Alwayse(TM) "Die Lifters" available from SKF Motion Technologies (Bethlehem, PA) offer the capability to position and move tools and dies safely and easily. The Die Lifters incorporate tee blocks and spring-loaded ball transfer units, which are ready-to-install as complete systems to seat securely in the beds of stamping presses or other machine tools.

The comprehensive line of these new Die Lifters includes a wide range of tee blocks designed for both standard and non-standard tee slots. Their length, pitch, ball height, and other dimensions or specs can be tailored consistent with tool weight and profile. Tee blocks can be secured reliably with socket screws.

The system's spring-loaded ball transfers are offered in a variety of sizes and all feature tolerance rings for reliable interference fit. Able to accommodate tooling large or small with minimum effort, the ball units can handle loads from 80 lbs. to 1250 lbs. each, depending on specified ball size, weight, and dimensions.

The unique design means that when the tool/die is clamped down into position, the load ball/support ball is depressed, due to its being spring-loaded. When unclamped, the Die Lifter raises the tool/die so that it can be moved easily from the stamping machine or power press.

Customized Die Lifters can be developed to satisfy unique application requirements.
