Motor offers anti-ice valve configuration as well as trip-rod design that insure positive shift every time. Air section is thermoset vinyl ester and wetted parts are PVDF/Polypropylene for chemical/fluid compatibility. Pumps include ribless fluid caps, convoluted diaphragms, and side-mounted inlet/discharge. They are capable of flows up to 184 gpm.

IR/ ARO Fluid Products announces the immediate availability of a new line of ultra-compatible air-operated diaphragm pumps for the process industries.
The new EXP (for "Expert Series Pumps") offering represents the very latest in pump design expertise with a host of innovative features that can help the process professional solve performance issues while reducing operating costs. Starting with its patented stall-free air valve technology, the new EXP offering brings pump reliability to new levels with a simplified major shift valve and housing that provides stall-free operation within a design that's been reduced to only 4 working parts. This new simplified air valve arrangement makes access, inspection and scheduled service faster and easier than ever, which translates into saved time, parts and labor costs. The new EXP air motor design features both a patented anti-ice valve configuration as well as a trip-rod design that insures a positive shift every time. Like the major shift valve arrangement, these ice-free, positive trip-over features also translate into serious savings realized through reduced pump "downtime". Built specifically for the process industries, EXP body materials include an ultra-strong thermoset vinyl ester- constructed air section as well as natural PVDF/Polypropylene wetted parts for the ultimate in chemical/fluid compatibility. Starting with the 2-inch (fluid ports) non-metallic offering, the EXP pump line will be expanding to include 3", 2", 1 ½", 1"-ports metallic models as well as 1-1/2", 1" ports non-metallic models in 2003 and into 2004.
