OpenPeak Unveils SANCTION(TM) Cloud Mobile Device Management at CES

Gain Control of Mobile Devices in the Workplace with the Cloud-Based MDM System; Provision, Manage Devices with Built-in Policy and Security Controls

BOCA RATON, Fla., -- CES, Las Vegas -- Mobile device and application management (MDM) platform provider OpenPeak Inc. today unveiled its new cloud-based SANCTION(TM) device management system. SANCTION is part of a comprehensive platform that enables enterprises and service providers to provision, secure, locate, audit and fully manage users' mobile devices using the OpenPeak ADAM(TM) Administrator web portal.

Making its debut at the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), SANCTION is now available for deployment as a stand-alone MDM solution and is compatible with multiple device platforms. Together with OpenPeak's SECTOR(TM) profile management application and OPENSHOP fully managed application shop, OpenPeak ADAM delivers all five of Gartner's "Elements of MDM" set forth in its 2011 Magic Quadrant for Mobile Device Management Software, including:

-- Physical device management with complete user management, provisioning and support, including the ability to examine/update firmware, reassign devices, enable/disable features such as data roaming or on-board hardware (e.g. camera, speaker or microphone), as well as push audio or text notifications and even provide remote support when needed.

-- Policy-based management with configurable rules- and event-based control of on-device operations, such as disallowing the use of specific applications or workspaces during certain times, locking a device that moves outside a specific geographic region, or disabling a camera if the device is on a specific Wi-Fi SSID.

-- Security management with the ability to force the use of VPN for secure network connectivity when on an unauthorized Wi-Fi network; remotely push certificates, VPN configurations and Wi-Fi SSID configurations; reset passwords, define password policies, and even lock or fully wipe a device in the event it becomes lost, stolen or taken out of service.

-- Business intelligence and service reporting with a policy-driven reporting engine that provides device and application-based feedback, including installed apps, app and data usage, call history, network connectivity, energy consumption and more.

-- Software distribution through the OPENSHOP secure enterprise in-house application store that offers ability to remotely deploy, remove, install or update approved apps, and block or delete blacklisted apps.

"The proliferation of mobile devices has created quite a challenge for every size company," said OpenPeak CEO Dan Gittleman. "The question is, how do you balance the benefits of the technology with the security risks and the management strain these devices place on already-taxed IT departments? Our new end-to-end system makes it easy, eliminating the need to stitch together various stand-alone components in an attempt to achieve the necessary visibility and control."

In addition to its complete integration with OpenPeak's multi-tiered and OS-agnostic ADAM Administrator portal and white-label OPENSHOP products, SANCTION can also work in conjunction with existing legacy systems to augment MDM components already in place.
