March 20, 2009 - Built around 1.5 M gate M1AFS1500-FGG484 FusionŽ mixed-signal FPGA, Fusion Embedded Development Kit enables engineers to prototype complete system composed of microprocessor core, programmable logic, and analog blocks. It supports variety of processors, including license-free versions of ARMŽ Cortex(TM)-M1 and Core8051. Kit also includes LiberoŽ IDE, SoftConsole, 5 V power supply, and current measurement capability of independent I/O banks and V(CC) for power analysis.

Actel's New Fusion Embedded Development Kit Showcases Unique Mixed-Signal FPGA Design Capabilities


Low-Cost Embedded Development Kit Features ARM Cortex-M1-Enabled Fusion Mixed-Signal FPGAs

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 9 /-- Continuing to demonstrate the integration benefits that mixed-signal FPGAs offer, Actel Corporation (NASDAQ:ACTL) today announced the Fusion Embedded Development Kit, enabling system designers to quickly and cost effectively prototype a full system-on-a-chip design. The kit features the Actel Fusion(R) mixed-signal FPGA, the only one of its kind in the industry, and supports a variety of processors, including license-free versions of the ARM(R) Cortex(TM)-M1 and Core8051.

"With Fusion and this new development kit, embedded system designers now can easily integrate custom logic and programmable analog features into their embedded processor designs," said Rich Kapusta, vice president marketing and business development. Where Mixed Signal and Programmable Logic Meet

In order to allow engineers to quickly prototype a complete system composed of a microprocessor core, programmable logic and analog blocks, the kit is built around a 1.5M gate M1AFS1500-FGG484 Fusion device. The well-equipped kit also includes the Libero(R) Integrated Development Environment (IDE), SoftConsole, a 5V power supply and full current measurement capability of independent I/O banks and V(CC) for accurate power analysis. The kit is fully RoHS compliant.
