3GSM WORLD CONGRESS, CANNES, France, Feb. 15 -- IXI Mobile, developer of mobile operating system software and the inventor of PMG® technology, today announced a combined solution for multimedia mobile handsets using Texas Instruments Incorporated's (TI's) OMAPâ„¢ platform and EDGE chipset with the IXI OS.
Designed to shorten manufacturers' time-to-market for advanced EDGE mobile handsets, the new design will offer a combination of IXI's complete multimedia feature phone operating system, IXI-Connect OSâ„¢, and TI's OMAP850 EDGE chipset, designed for wireless smart phones and PDAs.
