June 19, 2012 - Designed for offshore drilling and production applications that demand resistance to seawater, SEAsure(TM) utilizes undersea pressure to compensate for installation depth by allowing seawater into fluid port. Incoming seawater applies pressure to fluid filled internal bladder, which is discharged through transfer coupling to POD. Designed for 2.5-15 gal and up to 1,500 psi, SEAsure(TM) comes in carbon steel or stainless steel with up to four ½ in. NPT threaded ports on transfer coupling.

SEAsure(TM) Depth Compensator Reaches Subsea Locations

Bamberg, SC, - Tobul's SEAsure(TM) depth compensator is specifically designed for offshore drilling and production applications that demand high strength performance and resistance to seawater. The SEAsure(TM) depth compensator utilizes undersea pressure to compensate for installation depth by allowing seawater into the fluid port. The incoming seawater applies pressure to the fluid filled internal bladder, which is discharged through the transfer coupling (connection block) to the POD.

Tobul Accumulators are an integral part of the control and operation of subsea drilling and production systems; and are used to ensure sufficient hydraulic power to activate hydraulic actuators and motors, electro-hydraulic control POD's, blowout preventers (BOP's), and gate valves for flow control of oil and gas to the surface or other subsea locations.

Tobul designs and produces accumulators with high strength alloys and proprietary compounds for extreme duty, superior performance, reliability and longer service life. The SEAsure(TM) Depth Compensator is designed for 1,500 PSI (103.4 bar) and is built for 2.5-15 Gallons (9.5-57 liters). The SEAsure(TM) Depth Compensator can be configured with Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel with up to four ½" NPT threaded fluid ports on the transfer coupling (optional threads available); and coated in various customer specified finishes. All SEAsure(TM) Depth Compensators are ASME Section 8 Division 1 Certified and ASME "U" Stamped.

Tobul Accumulator is a well established, globally known, world-class manufacturer of hydraulic accumulators. Our designs have a proven track record of more than 45 years with the most comprehensive offering of piston-type accumulators in the industry, with working pressures up to 20,000 PSIG. Tobul also offers a competitive selection of bladder-type accumulators in most of the industry-standard capacities, with working pressures up to 7,500 PSIG. Whether your choice is a standard model hydraulic accumulator, or a custom engineered special design, Tobul Accumulator is ready to meet your needs with high quality products providing outstanding performance for your applications.
