Deburring Brushes utilize advanced filament technology.
April 17, 2008 -
Burr-Rx(TM) disc brushes are made of black nylon filaments co-extruded with high aggression ceramic grains. Constructed with steel shell, they provide dimensional stability, and are produced with 2 in. bore that allows for direct mounting on equipment without need for adapters. Burr-Rx brushes are suited for deburring materials such as inconel, stainless steel, and titanium and are also available in stem-mounted wheel, mini disc brushes, and banded end brush configurations.

New Burr-Rx(TM) Brushes from Weiler: The Most Aggressive Line of Compliant Brushing Tools Available
Introducing the ultimate in high aggression, compliant deburring tools - the newly enhanced Burr-Rx(TM) brush. The latest addition to Weiler's Nylox® abrasive filament product line, Burr-Rx brushes now utilize advanced filament technology, resulting in maximum aggression. The black nylon filaments are co-extruded with high aggression ceramic grains, providing cut rates up to 400% faster than standard silicon carbide filaments!
The extreme aggression of Burr-Rx brushes reduces cycle times by allowing the use of high feed rates and short dwell times, resulting in increased throughput and lower deburring costs. In addition, Burr-Rx brushes can remove burrs that were previously impossible to remove with conventional nylon abrasive filament brushes.
The Burr-Rx disc brush can be mounted in CNC machines directly onto a shell mill holder - a separate drive arbor is not required! All disc brushes are also manufactured using a new process which results in a very consistent, flat brush face in comparison to molded backed discs. The high dimensional precision of these new tools equates to more consistency from first part to last.
The Burr-Rx composite metal hub wheels offer a 50% higher filament density than traditional metal hub brushes - the highest in the marketplace. Constructed with a steel shell, these brushes provide increased accuracy and dimensional stability to ensure consistent, efficient performance with minimal vibration during use. Additionally, the brushes are produced with a two-inch bore, which allows for direct mounting on equipment without any need for adapters.
Ceramic grain Burr-Rx brushes are especially well-suited for deburring materials such as inconel, stainless steel and titanium and are also available in stem-mounted wheel, mini disc brushes and banded end brush configurations.
