We are glad to announce DBConvert for Firebird and MSSQL v. 1.0.0 release!
DBConvert for Firebird and MSSQL is an effective application which allows you to easily convert Firebird/InterBase databases to MS SQL and vice versa, unlike other similar tools, which commonly perform only one-way conversion.
DBConvert for Firebird and MSSQL performs Unicode support as well as a large number of useful features such as interactive (GUI) mode / command line mode, preverification of possible conversion errors, task planner scheduling, data filtering, data mapping, etc. The program is extremely easy to use, it was implemented like a common wizard-like application, so even an inexperienced user will be able to work with it. A number of other features included:
o InterBase version 6 and CodeGear InterBase 2009 support;
o Firebird version 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.1 support;
o Foreign keys (relations) support;
o Unicode and Binary data types support added.
DBConvert for Firebird and MSSQL allows to copy the whole database as well as to convert particular tables, fields, indexes and foreign keys. Conversion to MS SQL Dump is also available. Ability to store data into a dump file is the best way to present deferred conversion and gain more control over the conversion process.
