Designed for installation, maintenance, and trouble-shooting of digital networks, Model A0300002 carries out both framed and unframed tests on various equipment such as primary multiplexers, digital cross connects, and circuits operating at speeds from 50 bps to 2,048 kbps. Handheld unit supports synchronous or asynchronous data transmission, and integrates various interfaces for data exchange under V.24, V.35, V.11, X.21, G.703 Co-dir 64 kbit/s, and G.703-2 Mkbit/s.

Data Communication Tester Integrates Multiple Interfaces
Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com) has released this rugged data communication tester, which is designed for the installation, maintenance and trouble-shooting of digital networks. It carries out both framed and unframed tests on various equipment such as primary multiplexers, digital cross connects, automatic protection switches and circuits operating at a speed between 50bit/s and 2048kbit/s.
This handheld data communication tester, model A0300002, integrates various interfaces for data exchange under V.24, V.35, V.11, X.21, G.703 Co-dir 64kbit/s and G.703-2Mkbit/s interface; accommodations for future interfaces have also been considered. An error analysis function allows histograms of error or alarm data to be quickly and easily displayed. The compact tester supports synchronous or asynchronous data transmission. It also generates and monitors PCM30, PCM30 CRC, PCM31 and PCM31 CRC frame structures. The measurement results can be stored in its onboard memory to prevent data loss in the event of power failure.
