It reads and sends real-time, polled weather sensor data via serial port when requested by laptop or desktop computer. ASCII commands poll sensors using programs such as Procomm or Hyperterminal. Included software allows upload of sensor readings. It also calculates air density, density altitude, dew point temperature, and water vapor percentage.

Applied Data Sciences announces it is now shipping the DAQPOD. This product is a high precision digital thermometer, hygrometer, and barometer all in one small handheld, 9-volt battery powered unit.
The DAQPOD is ideal for monitoring the greenhouse, HVAC system, high performance engine tuning, temperature trends when shipping live or perishable products, etc.
DAQPOD reads and sends real-time, polled weather sensor data via its serial port when requested by a laptop or desktop computer. Simple ASCII commands poll the sensors using programs such as Procomm or Hyperterminal.
The included DAQPOD software allows you to connect the DAQPOD unit to a desktop computer to upload the sensor readings. The Software also calculates air density, density altitude, dew point temperature, water vapor percentage, etc. It is compatible with Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP™.
