Panasonic Unveils DVRs With True Digital Quality

New DVRs Deliver Higher Resolution And Fastest Refresh Rate Available.

Las Vegas, NV (April 6, 2005) – Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA), is demonstrating its new WJ-HD300A DVR Series that feature true digital quality here at ISCW 2005. The new DVRs provide over 500 lines of horizontal resolution, making them ideal for use with high resolution cameras such as Panasonic’s SDIII Series, plus the DVRs offer the highest refresh rate in the industry for optimal control and recording of PTZ cameras.

“Panasonic Security Systems’ new DVRs live up to the expectations that security professionals initially envisioned when DVRs were introduced and have not realized with conventional DVR technology,” said Steve Surfaro, Director of the Enterprise Project Group, Panasonic Security Systems. “Our new WJ-HD300A DVR Series incorporate a dual compression recording technique that produces higher levels of recording performance and system control.”

In addition to the improved recording performance, WJ-HD300A DVR Series offer a base disk capacity of 250GB – expandable to 7.5 Terabytes; the highest live refresh rate in the industry – 960ips – which allows viewing and control of PTZ cameras in real-time on single and multiple displays; and built-in networking and switching capabilities with individual camera profiling.

With the addition of Panasonic’s WV-AS60 Management Software and WV-CU650 System Controllers, operation of the WJ-HD300A Series DVRs can be further enhanced to include comprehensive networking capabilities employing up to 100 Panasonic DVRs and comprehensive control of Panasonic’s dome camera systems. In addition, Panasonic’s TXDIS300 Data Integration Server allows the WJ-HD300A Series to interface with any agnostic RS232 source to provide comprehensive data read/write operations.

The new WJ-HD300A DVR Series includes the 9-channel WJ-HD309A and 16-channel WJ-HD316A.
