New Four-camera Digital Video Recorder for Retail and Smaller Businesses from Bosch

Bosch Security Systems announces availability of the DVR4C, a four-camera digital video and audio recorder designed for retail stores, gas stations, banks and parking lots where constant video and audio surveillance are critical.

The high-performance, economical DVR4C system provides several weeks of uninterrupted video and audio recording from up to four cameras and four audio inputs, plus alarm handling, motion detection and local archiving. The system is ideal for 24-hour secure surveillance of businesses, shops or facilities that operate with only one or two people on duty.

The DVR4C uses industry-standard encoding, is equipped with built-in intelligent search capability and may be accessed remotely over standard telephone lines, LAN/WAN or Internet connections – features normally found in high-end digital video recorders, which are now made affordable for retail shops and smaller businesses.

Using the DVR4C, a business owner or manager can easily stay in touch 24/7. An owner or security officer can view live images, search and play back recorded images and change the system’s configuration remotely. Alarms and motion-triggered events generate an immediate email including a snapshot image of the scene. Further, all recordings contain embedded, permanent proof of authentication that can be used in legal proceedings.

The DVR4C was designed with affordability, quick installation and easy operation in mind. The system also has a built-in USB port so archiving video and audio recording locally is convenient and simple. Recording in real-time (25/30 images per second, PAL/NTSC) and using high-capacity video compression permits clear image capture and efficient storage. For a shop owner, this means that recordings of important events or incidents are archived easily on a memory stick.

The DVR4C digital video and audio recorder is now available from security dealers and distributors.
