New Altech® 'PSW Series' Wide Input Power Supplies Provide User Flexibility and Save Space

New Altech® "PSW Series" AC/DC wide voltage input, DIN rail power supplies introduce solutions for many worldwide applications while saving up to 50% space than conventional models. The wider input voltage range (180VAC-550VAC and 254VDC-780VDC) provides the flexibility for use in general power system applications with single phase 230VAC input or two phases from the 220~550VAC three-phase power system. This latest family of Altech power supply products has been designed for high efficiency (up to 93%) and delivers up to 3% higher energy efficiency compared with conventional models.

Typical applications include industrial control systems, semiconductor fabrication equipment, factory automation, electro-mechanical applications, and marine-related installations, among others.

PSW Series power supplies can deliver 100% power continuously at 50ºC by free air convection or can operate under 70ºC ambient temperature with suitable derating.

Standard features include a built-in DC OK relay contact enabling users to confirm remotely that the power supply is operating as required, a built-in active PFC function, and 100% full load burn-in test. The power supplies are cooled by free air convection and incorporate multiple protections against short circuits, overload, over voltage, and over temperature.

PSW power supplies mount easily on DIN rails, install with universal AC input, comply with UL508 and IEC60950-1 (CB) standards, and meet the EMC requirements of heavy industrial immunity level (EN61000-6-2). They are CE marked.

The PSW Series joins a growing family of Altech AC/DC compact DIN rail switching power supplies backed by a 3-year warranty. Custom products can be developed to suit particular application requirements.
