February 4, 2002 - Model SD1240N pull type linear DC solenoid offers rugged D type 2-piece frame and double mounting surfaces. Its rated force is 84oz (max) at 0.08 in. stroke (10% duty cycle). Available with Class A (105 deg F) insulation, SD1240N has dielectric strength rated at 1000VAC for 1 minute, and offers 24AWG flying leads per drawing coil termination. Plunger linkage is slot and cross-drilled; plunger pole face is 60 deg conical.

Bicron Offers New Pull Type Linear DC Solenoid

Canaan, CT: Bicron Electronics Company is offering a new pull type linear DC solenoid, model SD1240N, specially suited to small business machines such as ATM's, gaming machines, printers, copiers, medical instrumentation, cash drawers, and similar devices. The SD1240N features a rugged "D" type two piece frame which give it extra rigidity as well as double mounting surfaces. The SD1240N is rated at a maximum force of 84oz at a 0.08-inch stroke (10% duty cycle). The standard pull-type model is available on Bicron's new 5-day fast shipment program for selected, frequently specified components. A pull type model is also readily available. The SD1240N is priced at approximately $3.50 in OEM quantities.

This is only one of more than 35 current standard solenoid models. Bicron's "Modified Standard" program gives it many starting points for an almost unlimited range of custom designed solenoids with quick turn around prototype development and economical design costs.
