Units deliver up to 50 W of power with efficiency up to 92% and operating temperature of -40 to +85°C. Housed in aluminum case with isolated baseplate, converters include reinforced insulation of 3,000 Vac rms, remote on/off control, and under-voltage shutdown as well as overload and over-temperature protection.

Hopkinton, MA – Schaefer Inc. announces the addition of the MTQZ50 Series by Minmax to its wide-ranging power product portfolio. The MTQZ50 Series is a 50W dc-dc converter designed specifically for mission critical transit and railway solutions.
MTQZ50 Series is a new generation of high performance dc-dc converter modules designed predominantly for applications in the railway industry requesting compliance to railway standards EN50155(IEC751) and EN50121-3-2. The converter family consists of single output models offering 5, 12, 15 and 24VDC outputs with input voltages of either 72(43-101)VDC or 110(66-160)VDC. Each model is capable of delivering up to 50W of power in an aluminum case quarter-brick footprint 2.28” x 1.45” x 0.50” (57.9 x 36.8 x 12.7mm) with isolated baseplate.
Advanced circuit topology allows for a very high efficiency rate up to 92% and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. For improved heat dissipation, an optional heatsink is available. Standard features include reinforced insulation of 3000VACrms, remote on/off control, under-voltage shutdown as well as overload and over-temperature protection.
