June 2, 2008 - Offered in single and dual output models, 10 W EW Series converters are housed in 1.25 x 0.8 x 0.4 in. five-sided shielded case. Input voltage ranges available are 9-18 V, 18-36 V, and 36-75 V, while single output voltages range from 2.5-15 V and dual output voltages available are ±5, ±12, and ±15 V. Other features include 87% typical efficiency, 1,500 Vdc input to output isolation voltage, output noise of 50 mV peak to peak, and line and load regulation of 0.3% and 0.5% respectively.

Calex Announces the Availability of the Calex 10 Watt EW Series


Compact 10 Watt DC/DC Converter

Calex Mfg. Co., Inc. of Concord, California announces the availability of the Calex 10 Watt EW Series. The 10 Watt DC/DC converters are housed in a 1.25" x 0.8" x 0.4" five sided shielded case. The EW Series offers both single and dual output models. The input voltage ranges available are 9 to 18V, 18 to 36V and 36 to 75V. Single output voltages range from 2.5 to 15V and dual output voltages available are ±5, ±12 and ±15 Volts. All models are isolated input to output.

The switching frequency of the EW Series is 400 kHz. Efficiencies run as high as 87% typical. The input to output isolation voltage is 1500 Volts DC. Output noise is only 50 mV peak to peak. Line and load regulation is 0.3% and 0.5% respectively. Output voltage accuracy is 0.6%. All EW models are protected by continuous short circuit protection and backed by Calex's Five Year Warranty.

The operating case temperature range of the EW Series is -40 to +90C. MTBF is calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F at 1M hours. Contact the factory for pricing.
