RoHS compliant, 30 W DC/DC converters, AM30EW-Z offer input/output isolation of 1,600 Vdc to protect load circuit from transient voltage surges present at input of converter. Units have input range between of 9-36 and 18-75 Vdc, MTBF of 3.2 mil hr with soft start, remote ON/OFF control and cold start up temperature of -40°C. Single, dual and triple outputs include 3.3, 5, 5.1, 12 and 15 Vdc, load regulation of ±0.5%, and continuous short circuit protection with auto recovery restart.

Montreal, Canada - November 04, 2009 - Aimtec's newest series of 30 watt DC/DC converters, AM30EW-Z, pack 15 watts psi in a compact 2"x1" package, saving up to 35% PCB space compared to other 30 watt converters in a 2" x 1.6" package.
Ultra wide (4:1) input ranges of 9~36 and 18~75VDC feature soft start and provide the flexibility that is required for applications with loosely regulated inputs or with battery powered applications where input voltages can vary greatly with the battery charge.
The AM30EW-Z series offers input/output isolation of 1600VDC to protect the load circuit from any transient voltage surges present at the input of the converter.
Single, dual and triple outputs include 3.3, 5, 5.1, 12 and 15VDC feature a tight load regulation of ±0.5% (single output) and continuous short circuit protection with auto recovery restart to protect the converter, the load, and the converter's input circuit from extremely high currents, as caused by a short circuit.
Other value added features of AM30EW-Z series include soft start, which contributes to an MTBF of 3.2million hours; remote ON/OFF control and a cold start up temperature of -40C°, allowing these robust modules to answer the needs of a broad range of industrial control and outdoor applications.
