40 Watt Chassis Mount DC/DC Converter

Calex Mfg. Co., Inc. of Concord, California announces the 40 Watt NCM single output chassis mount DC/DC Series. The NCM is housed in a rugged cast chassis mount enclosure with protected, recessed barrier strips facing the top of the case. The recessed barrier strips allow connections to be made in tight quarters while protecting the barrier strip from physical damage. All models are fully encapsulated to further protect the unit against shock, vibration, dust and moisture. The NCM is also six sided shielded minimizing EMI issues. Through holes are provided in the case for mounting on a backplane or a DIN Rail mounting adapter is available.

The NCM Series offers three input ranges, 9-18 VDC, 18-36VDC or 36-75 VDC. Output voltages are 3.3, 5, 12, and 15 VDC. The maximum output power is 40 Watts. The outputs are fully isolated from the inputs allowing the output to be used with positive or negative polarity as well as various ground connections.

All models are RoHS compliant, offer remote ON/OFF, output voltage trim, over voltage protection and short circuit protection. The operating case temperature range of the NCM is -40 to +100ºC. The storage range is -50 to +125ºC. The efficiency of the NCM runs as high as 90%.

The NCM case size is 2.65" x 4.20" x 1.00"H. The unit weight is 345 grams. All models are designed to meet UL 60950 and are backed by Calex's Five Year Warranty.
