July 23, 2004 - With single-in-line footprint, APC-PD6NG and APC-PD10NG series isolated type dc-dc converters features continuous auto restart short-circuit protection, 1,000 Vdc I/O isolation, and 80% typ efficiency. They provide regulated 1 and 2 W output power in SIP8 package that measures 0.86 x 0.36 x 0.44 in., and can be supplied in 4 input voltage ranges of 4.5–9 V, 9–18 V, 18–36 V, and 36–72 V. Standard output voltage options are 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15, and 24 Vdc.

Advanced Power Conversion Announces New Isolated SIP8 DC-DC Converter Range

Advanced Power Conversion PLC of Farnborough, England announces another new addition to its power product range with the introduction of the APC-PD series of isolated SIP8 type DC-DC converters.

The APC-PD6NG and APC-PD10NG series of high performance isolated DC-DC converters packaged in a single-in-line footprint provides regulated 1 and 2 Watt output power in an industry standard SIP8 package with a wide input range (2:1).

Providing maximum design flexibility, the versatile single and dual output modules can be supplied in four input voltage ranges of 4.5V–9V, 9–18V, 18–36V and 36–72V. Available with standard output voltage options of: 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15 and 24V DC custom parts are available upon request.

The APC-PD series features continuous auto restart short circuit protection, I/O isolation of 1,000VDC and efficiency typ 80%. Together with the very compact SIP packaging (0.86 x 0.36 x 0.44 in.) supplied in non-conductive black plastic and wide working temperature range of -40°C to +80°C.the APC-PD series delivers high levels of functionality and performance for distributed power, local voltage conversion and all point-of-load applications.

The APC-PD6NG and APC-PD10NG family of low power, isolated DC-DC converters have been designed to provide a cost effective solution for space sensitive applications and are an ideal choice for telecom, datacom, industrial and mobile battery powered equipment.

OEM pricing for the APC-PD6 starts at less USD12.50 for production quantities of 100+ pieces or more while the APC-PD10 are 1 Dollar more at USD13.50 for similar quantities. Typical delivery lead-time is approximately 4 weeks from receipt of order.
