Respectively supplied in 0.5 x 0.4 x 0.3 in. dual-in-line and 0.46 x 0.29 x 0.4 in. single-in-line packages, unregulated SMA01 and SMU01 series promote PCB layout flexibility for power stage design. Both single-output, fully encapsulated converters can work at full load up to 85° ambient temperature and incorporate EMI filter, 1,500 Vdc isolation, and short circuit protection. Other features include ±10% input range, non-conductive plastic case, and CE/FCC compliance.

SMA01 & SMU01 Series (1W Unregulated DC/DC Converter)
In response to the market trend of cost effective and miniature size applications, MEAN WELL introduced two series of 1W unregulated single output DC/DC converters ~ SMA01 with dual-in-line package and SMU01with single-in-line package. The size of SMA01(0.5"x0.4"x0.3") and SMU01(0.46"x0.29"x0.4") are reduced by 50% compared to the current 1W product SUS01 (0.89"x0.39"x0.33"), which offer system designers the great flexibility of PCB layout for power stage design.
SMA01 and SMU01 series are designed to comply with the standard pin assignment in the market. Standard features include ±10% input range, 1500 VDC input/output isolation (optional for 3000 VDC), short circuit protection, low ripple noise, non-conductive plastic case and CE/FCC compliance...etc. Besides, fully encapsulated packaging can help them withstand the influence of dust and moisture comes from all kinds of harsh environment, therefore, these series can work at full load up to 85° of ambient temperature, which is 14 ° more than the common temperature of 71° in the market. Suitable applications include industrial control, telecom/datacom, and distributed power architecture related installations.
