SE2 Series Provides High-Reliability, Low-Profile Encapsulated Power Solution for 2-Lamp LCD Modules
Endicott, NY, July 2003 - The new SE2 Series from Endicott Research Group (ERG), Inc., is a fully vacuum-encapsulated, low-profile, DC-AC inverter that provides a high-reliability, space-saving solution for LCDs backlit by two cold cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs).
This high-efficiency, PC-mountable inverter is less than 0.420" (10.66 mm) high and only 0.75" (19.1 mm) wide x 2.98" (75.7 mm) long, making it ideal for applications where space is limited. And ERG's unique vacuum-encapsulation feature makes it exceptionally resistant to harsh environments, including shock, vibration and humidity.
Also, the encapsulation of the inverter enables designers to better package it with respect to the rest of the system - only the pins are exposed, so only the bottom of their printed circuit board is a 'high voltage" consideration.
The SE2 Series provides up to 5 watts of output power and features external PWM (pulse width modulation) dimming. It is designed and manufactured in the USA, with full U.S. technical support.
