HyperRoll v5 Doubles Data Performance

Improved load and query architecture significantly accelerates mission critical data availability

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 22 - HyperRoll, Inc., the leading provider of Data Performance Management software, today announced general availability of the HyperRoll Data Performance Management Suite(TM) V5. This latest version enhances the HyperRoll architecture to double query and load performance of HyperRoll-powered data warehouses compare to the previous version of HyperRolls' DPM suite. With this improvement, HyperRoll maintains its leading technology edge for Data Performance Management (DPM). The new version of the HyperRoll DPM suite dramatically reduces latency between data creation and data analysis for businesses by providing the following capabilities:

o Accelerates query speed and throughput by between double and ten times
over the prior version of HyperRoll.
o Accelerates load speed by double over prior versions of HyperRoll.
o Allows organizations to multiple intraday updates to data warehouse
data without complicated and lengthy update processes.
o Reduces disk space requirements by up to 90% for data warehouse data.
o Provides up to 90% reduction in CPU time per query as compared to
equivalent RDBMS-based data warehouses.
o Combines architectural attributes similar to column-based storage,
memory-based database and multi-dimensional modeling to provide optimal
load and query performance.
o Fast and predictable query performance across all possible ad-hoc
queries to enable guaranteed query times for critical service level
agreements.
o Supports virtual environments and only needs low-cost SMP hardware to
support multi-terabyte data warehouses.
o Simplifies design and deployment of HyperRoll-powered data warehouses
with new tools.
o Assures continued fast query performance for data warehouses where data
and metadata change frequently.

HyperRoll V5 also includes two key new technologies:

o Data Stabilizer -- This technology enables organizations to more
rapidly integrate data from multiple data sources. Data stabilizer
takes advantage of the HyperRoll data management architecture to
identify orphan data records for administrators in seconds for
cleansing.
o Time Series support -- This capability dramatically speeds and
simplifies time series analysis of data. Examples are year-to-date and
quarter-over-quarter. V5 provides direct support for time series
analytics that increase query times over traditional SQL queries by
magnitudes, while reducing load and query design and administration
complexity.

"With HyperRoll V5, our customers will dramatically shorten deployment and query time," said Lior Kogot, VP of Services at HyperRoll, Inc., "We can now deploy HyperRoll-based data warehouses in days instead of weeks."

HyperRoll V5 now works with the leading data warehouse databases including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2 and Teradata. It runs on Windows, Linux and other leading Unix environments.
