Exacq Technologies Introduces CH-Series High Speed Data Acquisition Boards for PCI Bus

Processor-based boards break new ground in price and performance

INDIANAPOLIS — June 30, 2003 — Today Exacq Technologies, Inc. announced immediate availability of its new CH Series High Speed Data Acquisition boards for the PCI Bus. The CH Series combines multi-input data acquisition with built-in memory and a dedicated processor for high speed accuracy and precision at a new groundbreaking price point for the industry. Utilizing a local digital signal processor (DSP), 16 MB of onboard memory, and PCI bus mastering, the new CH Series is able to provide glitch-free capture and/or playback of analog signals of a length limited only by host RAM size, even with a non-realtime PC operating system. This unique design is offered at a price point far below older, processorbased data acquisition products currently on the market.

“Data acquisition users have long been asking for new, innovative designs that provide high-speed acquisition capabilities under Windows at a reasonable price point” said Dan Rittman, President of Exacq Technologies, Inc. “The arrival of the CH Series provides these users with a superior product, with extensive and industry-standard software, at a price point that enables them to standardize on this platform.”

Hardware Optimized for High-Speed Acquisition

The CH Series utilizes an on-board, 143 MHz, 32-bit DSP that allows unprecedented functionality and accuracy for a data acquisition board of this price point. Dual output analog channels offer simultaneous 20 million samples per second per output or 40 million samples per second on a single ouput, Arb/Function generation, analog reconstruction filtering, and 16 MB local waveform memory. Dual input analog channels offer simultaneous 20 million samples per second per channel or up to 25 million samples per second on a single input, 12 bit A/D resolution, and 16 MB local acquisition memory with 1 Hz sample clock resolution. 16 digital I/Os operate synchronously with the analog I/O. Two counter/timers are included.

Extensive Software Tools included

Each CH Series product comes with a full complement of tools, drivers and sample source code. Exacq Control Center™ is a complete configuration utility for all Exacq Hardware. Exacq Bench™ provides a wealth of measurement tools, including an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, waveform generator, DC voltage generator, logic analyzer, multimeter and a strip chart recorder. Complete source code for Exacq Bench is included at no charge. Exacq SDK™ is a complete software developer’s kit with a large library of source code for C++, Visual Basic, LabVIEW, MATLAB and TestPoint, and is also included at no charge.

Exacq CH Series Pricing and Availability

The entire line of Exacq CH Series PCI bus products are available immediately. List pricing ranges from $1,195 to $1,545.
