GeoMetric® Series (ISO 6431/VDMA 24568 Cylinder Line)

"GeoMetric® Series," a new ISO/VDMA cylinder line that offers elasticity to tight design budgets...

Integrated switch grooves that are compatible with the majority of all the most popular sensors and reed switches...

Numatics is pleased to announce the introduction of the new GeoMetric® Series cylinder line. The GeoMetric® conforms to the following cylinder specifications: DIN/ISO 6431 and VDMA 24562. One of the most desirable features of the cylinder line is the dual groove design that is a standard offering on all GeoMetric® cylinders. The dual groove design offers great flexibility when mounting switches and sensors to the cylinders. One groove is a traditional round groove and the other is what we call a CombiGroove®. The CombiGroove® is a unique design that will accept round and angular switches, sensors, etc.

Additionally, the CombiGroove® is designed to accept most all of the popular switch and sensor manufacturer's products. This type of flexibility makes the GeoMetric an easy switch from the traditional ISO/VDMA cylinder lines.

The GeoMetric® is available in 6 bores sizes ranging from 32 mm to 100 mm. Stroke lengths range from 2 mm to 2 meters. Pneumatic cushioning can be regulated by adjusting the brass adjustment screws. Brass is a robust alternative to the conventional plastic adjustment screws. The GeoMetric® series encompasses a high quality, sintered bronze rod bushing. This is a direct effort to win the battle against premature cylinder failure. Furthermore, the GeoMetric® includes a comprehensive list of options, i.e., stainless steel piston rod, high temperature seals, etc. In addition to all of the integrated benefits, the GeoMetric® cylinder line is priced with tight design budgets in mind.

The cylinder name "GeoMetric®," has a two part meaning. "Geo" represents the cylinders worldwide availability and "Metric" refers to the units of measurement to which the cylinder is produced. The GeoMetric® Series cylinder line will be introduced to the North American market on September 30, 2005.
