Akron, Ohio . . . . . Manchester Tool Company now offers the innovative MTC-SEPARATOR Xtra (MTC-SX) Cutoff Inserts in 4mm. MTC-SX inserts are part of the fully integrated MTC Toolholder and Insert Systems, available from Manchester Tool, leaders in the manufacture of cutoff, grooving and threading tools for the machine tool market.
Offering a new standard in chip management, MTC-SX inserts feature a "double V" design for maximum stability and application-specific geometry that minimizes cutting pressure and delivers superior surface finishes. MTC-SX inserts deliver extended insert life and are highly cost-effective. Designed to increase speeds and feeds for all cutoff operations, MTC-SX inserts exclusively fit MTC integral shank toolholders.
MTC-SX inserts are available in four grades: M40 (-36), M43 (-13), M45 (-33) and M93 (-34).
The fully integrated MTC Toolholder and Insert System, only from Manchester Tool, is composed of integral shank toolholders and specially designed inserts calculated to provide improved chip control and management. In addition to the MTC-SX insert, other styles of MTC inserts are available; all are double-ended for extended tool life. MTC-PC insert is designed with full nose radius geometry for plunge and contour operations. For deep grooving, MTC-PT insert performs plunge and turn operations. MTC-SX-Ultra features application-specific geometry ideal for hard-to-machine materials.
