Customizable ProMetrix(TM) Precision Spindles Offer Reliable High-Speed Capabilities Up To 2,000,000 DmN
CINCINNATI, OH (March 2, 2004) - ProMetrix(TM) is SETCO's customizable line of belt-driven spindles that offers the customer the ability to custom engineer a spindle by selecting from a large variety of standard options- which now includes high speed rated hybrid ceramic bearings to meet high-speed machining requirements. The hybrid bearings provide the optimal internal construction, minimize heat generation and improve seizure resistance to allow speeds to reach 2,000,000 DmN and higher with minimal thermal distortion. The ProMetrix line of spindles is now capable of 12,000, 15,000, 18,000, and as high as 20,000 RPM.
With industry focusing on increased productivity, reduced cycle times and faster metal removal rates (MMR's), made possible by advances in cutting tools, higher-speed spindles are key to achieving manufacturing goals.
