Custom Thermoformed Enclosures for High Value Instruments and Equipment

Custom thermoformed large enclosures, bezels, housings, and panels that feature the "look" of injection molded parts at a fraction of their cost are being introduced by Mayfield Plastics, Inc. of Sutton, Massachusetts.

Mayfield Thermoformed Enclosures for medical instruments and high value equipment combine thermo- and pressure forming to create highly detailed features including logos, lettering, openings, and textures. Fabricated in sizes up to 5 x 8 ft. in solid, smoked, or translucent colors, they achieve the aesthetics of injection molded parts for a fraction of their cost.

Made from ABS, PETG, PVC, and other extrudable thermoplastics in material thicknesses to 1/2", Mayfield Thermoformed Enclosures feature tolerances to ±0.020" on length, width, height, and openings, with molded features down to 0.010"; depending upon size and configuration. Secondary operations can include metal inserts, hardware, machining, painting, assembly, and more.

Mayfield Thermoformed Enclosures are priced according to material, config-uration, and quantity. Tooling costs one-fifth that of injection molding, claims the firm. Price quotations are available upon request.
