Custom machined friction and wear parts for food, meat, pharmaceutical and related process equipment that must be sanitized using detergents, bleach and steam are available from Slideways, Inc. of Worcester, Massachusetts.

Featuring star wheels, scrapers, sprockets, spacers, brackets, bearings, cams, chain guides, and tracks, they are all designed to be subjected to continuous operation and frequent washdowns.
Specializing in FDA/USDA-compliant wear parts, Slideways is capable of machining process equipment components with ±0.0005" tolerances and surface finishes to 16 RMS, depending upon material. Typical materials include oil filled nylon for handling high speeds and loads, MD-nylon which features a dry lubricant, acetal, glass filled PTFE, UHMW, UHMW-HT, and aluminum.
