April 22, 2005 - Built to automotive specifications for Medium Truck Build program, Model No. LT78-175X covers 78 in. of vertical travel in 10 sec. Hydraulically actuated, lift receives fully assembled truck on carrier from over-under chain conveyor, then lowers 12 in. to floor level. Able to support loads to 35,000 lb, product measures 33 ft long and 3 ft wide.

Handling Specialty’s Custom Lift Moves Quickly to Keep Truck Assembly Rolling
(Niagara Falls, NY March 31, 2005) Built to automotive specifications for a Medium Truck Build program, Handling Specialty’s custom lift covers 78” of vertical travel in a mere 10 seconds. The lift receives a fully assembled truck on a carrier from an “over under” chain conveyor. Once in position, the lift lowers 12” to floor level with the full 35,000 lb. load. The truck then moves off the lift onto a flat top conveyor and continues down the line. From this point, the lift and carrier lower to the “down stops” position where the carrier transfers off the end. Returning empty to the raised position, the shot pins engage and the lift is ready to receive the next truck.
Production-duty is a term that describes this custom lift from Handling Specialty best. In addition to the rapid rate of vertical travel, the lift was also designed to function dependably during a production schedule requiring 20 cycles per hour over an 80 hour work week. To support a medium truck, the lift platform measures 33 feet long and 3 feet wide with a 35,000 lb. capacity.
