Durable, Cure-on-Demand Maskant Reduces Processing Time

Formulated to Resist High Temperatures and Chemicals

Torrington, Connecticut – Dymax Corporation has introduced SpeedMask® 750, a UV/Visible light-curable masking resin featuring both temperature and chemical resistance.  It’s formulated to provide excellent surface protection during higher temperature thermal spray coating, plasma spray, some HVOF processes, and aggressive grit blasting.  Additionally, this maskant can maintain adhesion during CNC machining.  It cures on demand and saves hours of processing time when used as an alternative to labor-intensive manual taping or latex-based maskants with long cure cycles.

SpeedMask 750 holds its shape after application by either Dymax spray or dispense equipment, and is pink in color, making it easy to confirm placement.  It cures tack free after proper cure with Dymax light-curing systems for quicker handling, is easily removed through peeling or incineration, and leaves no residue after removal on non-porous surfaces. SpeedMask 750 is recommended for reliable surface protection for components manufactured from nickel alloys, titanium alloys, and cobalt chrome.

Dymax Corporation develops innovative oligomer, adhesive, coating, dispensing, and light-curing systems for applications in a wide range of markets.  The company’s products are perfectly matched to work seamlessly with each other, providing design engineers with tools to dramatically improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.  Major markets include aerospace, appliance, automotive, electronics, industrial, medical device, and metal finishing.
