Dressta Rolls Out New Crawler Dozers To Tackle Tough Landfill Work

(Buffalo Grove, IL - October 29, 2003 ) Waste landfill operations are particularly hard on equipment. But new Dressta Landfill Arrangement Crawler Dozers (LA) are designed to handle the severe challenges of landfill applications... the 320 hp Model TD-25H LA, the 225 hp Model TD-20H LA, and the 175 hp Model TD-15H LA.

Landfill work includes lots of paper, plastics and other debris, which can clog up the radiator, coolers and engine compartments. The heavy loads often encountered can also tax cooling systems and power train components. Accordingly, the rugged yet comfortable Dressta dozers are built to withstand the daily abuse of severe landfill operations.

All three new Dressta dozers incorporate reliable turbocharged engines. Transmissions are 3-speed countershaft powershift types. Dressta's exclusive 2-speed geared type steering drives deliver full power to both tracks while turning and provide improved control with large, uneven blade loads. A total of six speeds forward and reverse produce the best match for each application. All dozers also employ rugged modular type double reduction final drives.

The 2-door hexagonally shaped, resiliently mounted cab improves both visibility and operator comfort. Exceptional air conditioning, heating, pressurization and filtration also enhance the operator environment. The deluxe suspended seat can be angled 15° for optimum forward and reverse visibility.

To assure high reliability under severe landfill conditions, each Dressta landfill dozer is equipped with an extensive array of special duty components and attachments. These components include turbine type air pre-cleaners, in-line copper tube radiator cores with wide fin spacing, radiator debris screen, oil to air power train oil coolers, insulated muffler, final drive seal guards, perforated hoods and engine side enclosures, 80-amp alternators, severe service crankcase and transmission guards, 2-piece louvered radiator guard doors, audible and visual warning systems, steel deflector side bars at the engine compartment, and track shoe clean-out holes.

Also available are blade trash racks, front and rear striker bars, additional rear counter-weights, electric winch for ease in lowering and raising the heavy-duty crankcase guard, single or multi-shank rippers, sweeps, and screening packages. Track shoes are available from 22 inches in width up to 28 inches in width on the TD-25H LA.

With their wide range of durable components, the rugged, new Dressta Crawler Dozers are factory ready to get down to the most demanding landfill work.

Dressta North America, a fully owned subsidiary of Dressta Company, Ltd., is headquartered in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and markets the Dressta Crawler Dozer, Wheel Loader and Crawler Loader lines of construction equipment.
