Shortens trailer to allow for easier storage
Mosinee, WI (December 13, 2004) – The days of worrying about trailer storage will be long gone thanks to the new Fulton® Fold-Away ™ Coupler Do-It-Yourself Kit launched by Cequent Trailer Products. This new and innovative product will allow trailer owners to shorten their trailers for storage in their own garages.
Trailer storage continues to be a major concern for many recreational enthusiasts, with many trailer owners forced to store their trailers outside, pay for rental storage space or build an independent structure on their property. Responding to consumer concerns, Cequent Trailer Products has developed the new Fulton® Fold-Away™ Coupler Do-It-Yourself Kit. With heavy-duty hinges that are precisely machined to tight tolerances from die cast steel, the Fold-Away Coupler reduces overall trailer length by 21 inches by allowing the coupler to pivot (or fold-away) to allow for storage in most standard garages.

Another exciting component of the Fulton® Fold-Away™ Coupler Do-It-Yourself Kit is the tongue cut-off and hole template that accompanies the coupler. The template allows trailer owners an easy method of assembling the coupler to their existing trailer.
Also included in the Fulton® Fold-Away Coupler Do-It-Yourself Kit are new 5000 lb. 48-inch long safety chains, an easy-to-understand instruction manual, and a limited three-year warranty.
Equipped with the Classic Fulton® Fas-Lok® Coupler and quality zinc plated steel bolt-on construction, the Fulton® Fold-Away ™ Coupler is available in two sizes to meet trailer owners’ needs. The 3500 lb. GTW Class II fits 3" x 3" steel trailer tongues and 2" hitch balls. The 5000 lb. GTW Class III fits 3" x 4" steel trailer tongues and 2" hitch balls.
