Annandale, NJ - October 2, 2006 - Ingersoll Rand, known for world-class pneumatic tools and components, now delivers the best in cordless tools with the release of the W040 1/4" quick-change Impactool as part of its IQV(TM) Series cordless product offering.
Designed to deliver optimum performance in the automotive shop or industrial plant, the W040 weighs a mere 2.7 pounds and features a quick-change hex for easy and convenient bit changes. The 1/4" Impactool provides all of the same industrial-grade engineering and rugged durability of its larger counterparts, including a metal-supported housing and an all-metal hammer case to provide maximum drop resistance.
The W040 also offers the latest in battery technology. Onboard battery electronics provide the ability to choose either lithium-ion or nickel-cadmium batteries for every tool. Constructed with superior cell technologies, all IQV batteries offer best-in-class recharge life in addition to the patent-pending IQV Grip interface.
