Convenience, Innovation and Comfort Main Advantages of Two New SKIL Corded Drills
Drills always ready when the user needs to tackle a project
Mt. Prospect, Ill., November 2006 - Some applications simply call for a little more oomph; a little something extra to power through challenging jobs. SKIL Power Tools has two new corded drills that will add something extra to the job.
The new 6267 and 6237 3/8-inch drills provide comfort, convenience and power in a compact package. When DIYers need a drill to help complete tough tasks around the house like building a deck or finishing a basement, and want to ensure they always have power to finish the job, the perfect complement are the two new SKIL corded drills. The best thing about a corded drill: knowing the drill will have power when the user needs it.
The new SKIL 6267 corded drill offers a nice mix of innovation and comfort. The drill is equipped with a 5.5 amp motor, which provides all the power necessary to tackle heavy-duty tasks. And, with its two-hand comfort soft grip and built-in work light that illuminates when the user grasps the handle, this drill is sure to provide everything the user needs for everyday tasks.
The new 6237, cousin to the 6267 drill, has a 5.0 amp motor and bit size index module to assist DIYers with a number of common household tasks. The enhanced industrial design on this tool provides excellent handling in low-clearance applications due to the cord exiting at the bottom of the handle. And, the bit-index module helps users easily determine which drill bit and/or screw is needed for a given application. This new corded drill will complement any workbench.
Both drills come equipped with a bubble level for straighter drilling and driving applications, a reversing brush system to help free jammed bits and remove rusted bolts; a keyless chuck for quick and easy bit changes; on-tool bit storage for added convenience; and a forward/reverse button for versatility to drive and remove screws. The new 6267 corded drill will come with a carrying case and retail for $39.99, while the 6237 will retail for $29.99. Both drills will be available at home improvement centers nationwide beginning February 2007.
