Model 627w (.0001 TIR) 6 in. dia., coolant/air blast thru, 2-jaw air chuck, with 1 in dia. counter bore for tap clearance, provides workholding package to grip hole saw blanks for turning and tapping. Sub-jaws have 2 bullet nosed pins that will grip blanks between 2 holes, and ¾ in. wide jaws fit between 2 hardened and ground full circle segments mounted to chuck face to support workpiece during machining. Accuracies range from 0.001-0.00001 in.

Northfield has developed a workholding package to grip "hole saw blanks" for turning and tapping. The chuck is a Northfield model 627w (.0001 T.I.R.) 6 in dia., coolant/air blast thru, 2-jaw air chuck, with 1 in dia. Counter bore for tap clearance. Special sub-jaws with (2) "Bullet" nosed pins that will grip the blanks between (2) holes. The jaws are approximately ¾ in. wide to fit between (2) hardened and ground full circle segments mounted to the chuck face to support the work piece during machining.
