Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com Adds Cool Running LED Drop Light to its LED Work Light Lineup

Magnalight.com by Larson Electronics has added to its inventory a 32 inch long LED work light designed to provide a higher degree of safety and performance as compared to traditional incandescent and fluorescent work lamps. Although similar in appearance to common fluorescent work lights, Magnalight's FTL-3-LED-50 work light contains an LED lamp which provides higher light output, cooler operation, better light quality, and higher durability than either incandescent of fluorescent utility lights.

The new FTL-3-LED-50 8 watt LED drop light from Magnalight.com offers power and performance that exceeds that of common fluorescent and incandescent drop lights. Designed similarly to fluorescent drop lights, this light breaks away from traditional work light design through the inclusion of a T8 style LED tube lamp. This LED lamp produces more light than higher wattage incandescent lamps, runs far cooler, and provides safer operation than either incandescent or fluorescent work lights due to its' no glass construction and reduced chances of causing accidental burns. Since the LED tube lamp in this drop light has no glass or filaments, it can withstand rough handling and dropping that would cause normal incandescent and fluorescent work lights to shatter or fail. This LED drop light is constructed of non-metallic materials, which provides an added degree of safety when using the unit around exposed electrical wiring or devices as it cannot be energized and cause shorting between contacts. With no glass used in the construction of this work light, it is also food safe. The lamp housing is equipped with hanging hooks on each end, which allows users to easily hang the light overhead for hands free operation and better coverage of the task space. This unit is weather resistant, and has a rubber coated handle for a sure and comfortable grip as well as added resistance to impacts. The LED lamp in this drop light produces 800 lumens, more than a 60 watt incandescent bulb, yet uses only 8 watts of power and produces far less heat, making it ideal for applications where the operator needs the light in close proximity and may accidentally touch the lamp. Magnalight.com includes 50 feet of abrasion resistant cord, which provides plenty of length for moving the light around the work area, and these lights can be used with voltages ranging from 100 volts to 277 volts, including 120 volts, 230 volts, and 277 volts. The high output, cool operation, and high durability of these LED drop lights makes them ideal for a wide variety of applications including general maintenance, construction, aircraft interiors, emergency shelters, long, narrow pathways, ship yards and more just to name a few.

"The FTL-3-LED-50 was built to withstand wet environments; eliminating the glass lens and any metallic surfaces, this shock resistant light is ideal for food related processing where operators are looking for more illumination than a standard trouble light and cannot have any glass or ferrous metal parts that can rust," said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com."

Larson Electronics' Magnalight produces a wide range LED lights, LED work lights, portable LED lights, explosion proof flashlights and LED trouble lights.
