New 90 Degree Servo Sweep at Pack Expo - International
Nercon Eng. & Mfg., Inc. introduces a 90 degree Servo Sweep at Pack Expo - International, booth #N4136. The advantages of utilizing the 90 degree Servo Sweep in a production line is high speed product reorientation and a small footprint.
The servo technology is programmed for the precise motion profile force for reliable, high speed package handling. The overhead Servo Sweep has been engineered by Nercon in packaging production lines to operate at speeds of 90 products per minute.
Products travel into the Servo Sweep on the long axis of the package, and exit from the device traveling on the short axis. The "easy-way to hard-way" reorientation solution has a small footprint compared to competing equipment.
Another advantage of the device is the range of package types that it handles. Serving the food, household, pharmaceutical, and health and beauty industries, the Servo Sweep can reorient cartons, trays and sleeved packages.
The Servo Sweep has also been designed as a dual-lane unit that repositions product for downstream operations. On the multi-lane unit, the paddle sweep bar is stepped to accept the product and partially indexed until the product grouping is loaded before sweeping the packages, which alleviates back pressure on the system.
