TuffShear(TM) blade with 6 in. of urethane, faceted profile design renews blade's cleaning edge as it wears. Quick Mount Tensioners keep blade powered to belt and visual tension check feature allows blade to be brought back to optimal tension. Unit requires 4 in. horizontal clearance and has universal mounting plates and assembled tensioners.

New Mineline(TM) MMP Precleaner from Flexco Removes Worst Carryback, Works with Mechanical Fasteners
DOWNERS GROVE (IL), MAY 9, 2006 - A new addition to the Mineline(TM) "Mine-Tough" Conveyor Product Family from Flexco -- the MMP Medium-Duty Precleaner for underground mines and abusive above ground applications - provides consistent cleaning performance, long operating life and low maintenance in tough abrasive applications.
The Mineline MMP Precleaner features Flexco's exclusive 10" (250mm) TuffShear(TM) blade that provides optimal blade tip tension on high speed, high load conveyor applications. It is designed with 6" (150mm) of useable urethane, enabling the blade to deliver 20-30 percent longer wear than conventional blades in most medium-duty applications. A faceted profile design renews the blade's cleaning edge as it wears. Blade replacement can be performed quickly without tools.
Self-contained Quick Mount Tensioners (QMT's) store sufficient energy to keep the blade powered to the belt. A unique visual tension check feature allows the blade to quickly and easily be brought back to optimal tension on the belt.
Mineline's exclusive Material Path Option allows the user to match the blade width to his belt's material path. This design reduces differential wear and ensures continuous blade-to-belt contact, improved cleaning consistency and reduced tensioning maintenance.
Universal mounting plates and assembled tensioners simplify installation. Only 4" (100mm) of horizontal clearance is needed. Pole lengths are belt width plus 54" (1350mm) to fit varying conveyor or chute wall widths. Pole extensioners are available for extended lengths requirements.
The MMP is compatible with Flexco and other mechanical splices. This new precleaner expands the company's broad line of Mineline products, which also includes standard-duty and heavy-duty models, along with secondary cleaners for underground mining and other heavy-duty applications.
