New Product: SKF® SCU 'Smart Control Unit'Can Synchronize up to Six Different Actuators

New SKF® SCU "Smart Control Units" can synchronize the speeds of up to six different actuators and store frequently used positions for quick selection using only one command. These units feature a standardized plug system (DIN8 for actuators and HD15 for operating devices), three or six channels for actuators, and adjustable operating parameters. All promote customization to satisfy a wide range of medical or industrial applications.

A single fault safety is standard with all three versions (24VDC, 120VAC, and 230VAC). This interrupts or prevents movement of all actuators upon detection of electrical failures of internal and connected hardware. The unit's transformer protects against overload with a specialized thermal shield. Routine safety checks by the unit contribute more safeguards. (The SCU is manufactured in accordance with EN60601-1 and UL60601-1.)

The SCU features built-in power supply and three connections for hand switches, foot switches, and desk switches. Integrated inputs can connect up to four external limit switches to offer multi-purpose functionality. A security cover protects against outside influences or accidental pulling-out of plugs.
Optional external storage batteries can be connected by cable to enable flexible positioning. A battery charger located inside the housing eliminates any need to adapt the SCU, regardless of battery type.

These units are compact and lightweight (ranging from 1.2kg to 3.8kg, depending on model). Specially customized control unit solutions can be engineered.
