Advance Lift's Position Control System

Advance Lifts, Inc. of St. Charles, Illinois, has designed a Position Control System for applications where a limit switch or proximity sensor is not accurate enough and/or not flexible enough, the Advance Lifts closed-loop Position Control option can provide platform positioning to multiple positions with a precision and repeatability up to +/-1/16th of an inch on large deck platforms and up to +/- 1/32nd of an inch on smaller industrial tables.

Advance Lifts Position Control option is an intermediate price point between limit switch technology and full bore custom installed position control systems. The system requires the use of a continuous duty rated power unit and consists of an LDT (linear displacement transducer), a proportional hydraulic valve system, a PLC (programmable logic controller), the necessary supporting hardware and a proprietary software program. The Advance Lifts factory can custom tune the option to provide position control solutions that meet tough industry requirements. Possible configurations include platform indexing (up or down), repeating multiple positions, user-friendly programming of positions and more. Platform operation can be initiated automatically, by an operator, by inputs from another machine or from a network connection.

For over 30 years, Advance Lifts, Inc. has been manufacturing loading dock equipment, work positioners, lifts tables, recycling equipment and packaging equipment.
